Community Ed's late January and February courses offer a tantalizing array of opportunities from fanciful to fruitful. Winter passes more swiftly if you're engaged in fascinating activities. Join us tonight in learning to release stress and review over a dozen methods for relaxing at any time, day or night. We will practice deep meditation. A guided meditation audio CD will be available for $30.00 to provide ongoing support. For best results, consume no alcohol prior to this class. Susan Worthen McCombs, D.C. When people sit down to dinner in France, they know they are going to eat a fabulous meal often made from surprisingly simple ingredients. Classic Provencal style zucchini-wrapped fish with cumin, a wonderful salad, and for mouthwatering elegance, a raspberry bombe. Guess whose heart will be yours? Please bring a $6 food fee to the class. Instructors Ashley Rooney and Peter Lund have been recipe developers for several years, writing for New England newspapers and Lexington's "Colonial Times." Their newest book, "Table D=E9cor," examines table d=E9cor from soup to nuts, weddings to children's birthday parties, was published in December 2006. |

Combining the significance of letters in history with a practical approach to maintaining this art within current lifestyles, the course will focus on the development of letters as gifts for the future while we review the impact of personal correspondence on our understanding of the past. Skills will include the art of listening, hand-writing, relationship building, and message development. Karen Fullerton writes letters daily and while in France attended the Festival of Correspondence in the small French stone village of Grignan. |
